This was one of those simple, quaint, beautiful wedding days to remember. I (Alice) worked alongside one of our fantastic associate photographers (Courtney) on Claire & Stephen’s day, one beautiful autumn afternoon in September. Millennium Park Plaza in Lake oswego was filled with the busy Saturday market happening while the bridal party was getting ready. Carisa and her team at Adornment Events had nothing but a one and a half hour window to turn the park from public market, to private wedding events. We were impressed! The day was flawless and sunny and beautiful.
Destination Wedding: Castello Di Leonina, Tuscany Italy Wedding Weekend
Even if I was born in Rome and raised Italian, I still become awestruck when I see the beauty of the Italian countryside. Mirco and Xiao flew me to Tuscany last May, for their STUNNING destination wedding weekend, and I am in love. Not only was the scenery perfect, the food and people and wine were so, too. It is an experience I will never forget and one I am happy to show off over and over again, so anyone who will ask for it… Better yet! If anyone you know is considering planning a destination wedding in Italy, put them in touch with me! I have great contacts now that I am happy to pass along, especially so if I get to fly out there again, too ;) Let’s get back to the blog post at hand! Here is Mirco & Xiao’s perfect wedding weekend celebration in Tuscany, Italy <3
Their picture perfect, iconic hilltop Tuscan castle made for a stunning backdrop to their love story, while their closest friends and family made it truly theirs.
This beautiful MoscaStudio Tuscany Italy wedding was featured in Grace Ormonde Wedding Style Magazine and we could not be more honored for the recognition!
Engagement session: Two days of winter photography fun in Clarno (Eastern Oregon)
Kelly & Ryan absolutely love their home and property in Eastern Oregon, in the historic town of Clarno. It is located 4 hours via car form Portland Oregon, and it includes thousands of acres of plateaus, mountaintops, valleys and a river. We had full access to their land and maneuvered around it in their Polaris snow machine on tracks, since it was late December and it had been snowing all winter long. We had a great time seeing new sites and adventuring around with them (and their doggie, Gary!). This was an unforgettable destination engagement session for us, and one for the books too: the prestigious Grace Ormonde Wedding Style Magazine (or which MoscaStudio is proudly a selected member), chose to publish the shoot, and we could not be more honored! Here is the link to Grace's feature.
Portland church ceremony & Mt Hood Bed & Breakfast destination reception
GOODNESS! This was a long expected wedding day (Krista and Alfredo reserved our services much earlier than the usual on year ahead). When the day finally came (after we had a fantastic adventure on waterfalls fork their engagement session) we knew it would be a full day. We were prepared for it though! Because we knew they’d treat us like family and we’d get to witness so much fun and party and love! We started the day at 10am in Portland, at their church for a long and beautiful ceremony. We then travelled to the Eastbank Esplanade for some awesome bridal and bridal party portraits with Portland in the background. Then we drove to Mt Hood Bed & Breakfast for the reception dinner and party! It was a lot of driving, but it was also a LOT of photographic opportunities, which we love! The day was a very hot one, with temperatures in the high nineties. Everyone rocked it though! There was plenty of musical entertaining, of perfectly positioned LED lighting, the stunning Mt Hood as a backdrop and a bonus Hawaiian hula dance routine to cheer us all up and introduce Krista and Alfredo to their Hawaiian honeymoon. What a fun day! Special thanks to Good Times Productions for being absolutely perfect to work with. They offer video and do it with great respect towards us photographers. Can’t recommend them enough. Enjoy this detailed sneak peek of their 12 hour day!
A green/purple/white Gorge Crest Vineyard wedding
Another beautiful wedding day at Gorge Crest Vineyards has come and gone. This is the place where we feel right at home, with the usual set of vendors we love to work with and always a stunning view. Jenn and Matt are two funny, fun, in love people whom we got to know the previous year at their quick downtown Portland engagement session and then throughout the months on Facebook too! I’ve actually LOLed at some of the things they post. My kind of humor! No wonder when their day came, we felt like old friends reuniting. The day was a hot one, with plenty of sunshine to go around. We stayed in the shade as much as possible, knowing full well we’d have a gorgeous evening a few hours later. Thanks to Donna and Heather of Pearl and Roses Wedding Planning, the day went by smoothly, with help from Floral Designs by Alicia, the fabulous Jamie with the Lamb’s Table catering, Patricia with Gorge Brides and our good friend Dan Moe with DJ and MC duties. It was a glorious day, filled with emotion and tears of joy. Here is a very quick sneak peek of their day. Stay tuned while the rest of the images are worked on! Thanks for looking, friends. #jatt2015
Portland wedding: Fields Park Pearl District ceremony & The Nines Hotel wedding reception
What can we say about Caroline & Alex? It will most likely sound cliché, but it’s ok! They are beautiful, fun, smart, surrounded by fabulous friends and family… right up our alley! Their wedding day was epic with plenty of time between scheduled events, so as to let the day be relaxed and not rushed at all. Caroline got dressed up in the home she grew up in, with her bridal party and her mom and dad, in the hills, overlooking the City of Portland. What a beautiful location for their first look! The whole city could have witnessed it, if only they had known to LOOK UP! :) Their ceremony was at the Pearl District’s Fields Park, a brand new city park on the outskirts of NW Portland, with beautiful views of the old mill and the Fremont Bridge. From there, everyone partied at The Nines Hotel in downtown! They met at PDX (that’s right! Our world famous airport), so their fabulous favors were made to look like PDX’s famous carpet. The dance party! Her dad’s speech which included hired actors! Generous portions of delicious foods and delicious drinks. It was perfect! Here is their detailed sneak peek, which we hope does the day justice <3
Portland wedding: An elegant wedding day at the Oregon Golf Club
Introducing: Kelli & Anthony ( #InBlakeWeStand! ). A beautiful couple that has been completely in love for 8 years. They met in high school, lived through college and are now beginning their new, married life together. Their closest friends and family partied and celebrated with them on Sunday August 9th at The Oregon Golf Club. Here is their quick Sneak Peek, showing off her two beautiful wedding ceremony and reception dresses, their fun and loving friends and family, and an epic dance party! We loved every minute of their day and we’re happy to have shared it with a great group of vendors (some of which are listed here – more to come!).
Destination Wedding: Smith Rock State Park Wedding Ceremony
We are so excited to show you this gorgeous destination wedding in Smith Rock State Park, by Bend Oregon. Central Oregon is absolutely beautiful for photography and we’ve had the pleasure of traveling there for 2 stunning weddings so far this 2015 summer season. We can’t wait for the rest of them! Exploring a brand new place to capture someone’s wedding day, is what keeps us inspired and excited about our art. Crystal and Kevin, pictured here, are not only stunningly good looking, they are in love and fun and funny and definitely adventurous! It was Crystal’s idea to hike in wedding garbs all the way to the bottom of Smith Rock State Park, for us to take our iconic environmental wedding photographs. It was music to our ears when she told us that we’d hike down there (which the 4 of us with pleasure and with fun!). We began the day in two separate AirBnB homes for their getting ready photography, then met at Bend’s downtown park for their first look (there was a beer festival at the time, so their “private” first look was witnessed by hundreds of people!), then we drove 30 minutes to the beautiful Smith Rock State Park for their portrait and ceremony. Their reception was back in downtown Bend at a trendy loft, surrounded by Bend’s annual culinary street fair… needless to say, June 20th 2015 was one busy day! We had a blast and loved seeing them marry. We can’t wait to see them again, soon!
